FYI / FAQ
Does this replace the weekend in Wildwood?

NO!  Certainly Not!  While we have no special plans for Wildwood, people will still be going.
Elks Weekend this year is June 2 - 4 with a gathering at Kelly's & the parade on Saturday, June 3rd.

What are the associated costs for the two events?
We have reserved the Banquet Room on the 2nd Floor at Iron Hill and arranged a special Lunch Buffet
(appetizers, sandwiches, french fries, salads, soft drinks, etc).

FINAL COST IS $24.00 FOR THE IRON HILL EVENT
PLUS $11.00 FOR THE BLUE ROCKS BASEBALL GAME
(A $1.50 fee will be added to payments made through PayPal)

A Cash Bar is available if you choose.
Iron Hill is an award winning Brewery with a wide selection of Craft Beers and Ales.
As such, you won't find your typical Bud or Miller Lite.

SO!
Come On Out and ROCK away the Winter BLUES
with your Blue Rock friends
and share the memories and good times!

It is unfortunately a sad fact of life that, as time goes by, we are losing some of our Blue Rock brothers and sisters.
With that, we have established a Memorial Page dedicated to Fallen Friends.

Please, if you are aware of a Blue Rock alumnus
Member-Administrator-Volunteer
who is not being recognized on the Memorial Page,
Please drop us an email with as much information as possible so that we can add them.

It is with much sadness that I inform everyone of the passing of Robert McGowan on September 26, 2017 at the age of 94. Bob McGowan, along with Bob Smith founded the Blue Rock Drum and Bugle corps in 1958. He also served as Blue Rock's very first director. Bob was entered into our Ring Of Honor in 2016.

UPDATE:  New Video of Blue Rock 1967 Posted Here

Picture
On Saturday, October 6, a group of Blue Rock alumni gathered to dedicate this bench in memorial of Roy M. Jones and Gregory F. Papaleo.

From the Dedication:
"The bench will permanently reside in their crypt for all to sit, remember, and reflect on how these two young men affected our lives.   It allows us an opportunity to let them know that they live on in our hearts, now and forever."

"It takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but it takes a lifetime to forget them."

Those wishing to visit can do so at the Queen of Apostles Crypt, Cathedral Cemetery, 2400 Lancaster Avenue, Wilmington, De.

New Blue Rock Site Launches

Blue Rock ... the name conjures an image to those who  witnessed this great corps in action. Anyone who was ever involved  with the  corps, in whatever capacity, knew they were part of something  special.

Those among us who were fortunate enough to have worn that uniform of  gold and  black knew the magic that was Blue Rock. Many corps can measure their success by  pointing to their trophy case and "The Rock" certainly earned its rightful share  of trophies. But another success, difficult  to describe even by those who  experienced it, is the Blue Rock mystique.

Many corps seek an identity, some  find theirs, others never do. Blue  Rock had one others envied, many sought, but  few attained. It  electrified the atmosphere with an air of dignity and class that  transcended the definition of drum and bugle corps.
